Dear
All,
I have been
asked for some guidance with regard to marking work for dyslexic
students. Whilst we have a front sheet for dyslexic students' work
asking for tutors not to mark down students for poor spelling/grammar,
tutors have been asking what percentage they should be allowing for to take
account of these difficulties. I suspect this is a very grey area as
it probably is for non-dyslexic students, some of whom will also have poor
spelling and grammar of course.
Does anyone have
any advice/guidance or definitive percentages that they have
used?
Any
contributions gratefully accepted.
