check out the on-line version of the excellent article in today's Guardian G2
supplement by Dea Birkett. It is about a new production of "The Secret
Garden", a children's story with a wheelchair-user as one of the main
characters. In the article she points out how productions such as this
re-enforce negative stereotypes about disability and damage the self esteem of
disabled children. Well worth a read!!
