Stuart,

We have a lot of free downloads on the iCompli site that might help. There
are some useful flowcharts that may give you a better 'channel' picture too.

Head off to http://www.icompli.co.uk/f_downloads/index.asp and see how you
get on.

Subject: [data-protection] Marketing - DPA law vs. best practise

There is still some confusion about what the data protection law or 'best
practise' is across the different channels of communication - mail, email,
telephone (and also the difference between contacting individuals and
businesses).

Does anyone happen to know where I can get hold of a 'summary' sheet about
each channel (e.g. can send mail to contact until they opt-out; can only
send emailshots to non-business addresses if they have opted in initially
etc..) and an indication of whether something is best practise or law?

Kind Regards,

Stewart.
