Records Manager
Salary: Between £30363 and £35883 per annum

The University of Durham is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and 
experienced Records Manager to assist in the development of strategy and 
policy relating to records management across the University and to 
develop a records management programme for the University which will 
ensure compliance with key legislation through proactive management of 
information. This will require the use of traditional methods of records 
management as well as the investigation and implementation where 
appropriate of technological solutions, including document management 
systems. The post holder will ensure corporate compliance with the 
Freedom of Information Act, will also be Data Protection officer for the 
University and deal with copyright licensing and compliance. The 
successful applicant will need to demonstrate creativity, energy and 
enthusiasm and must have good IT and communication skills, the ability 
to provide leadership, a knowledge of current advances within the field 
of records management and a commitment to a service oriented approach 
and high quality service delivery. Education to degree level with a 
postgraduate professional qualification in records management or archive 
administration, is essential, as is a minimum of three years 
post-qualification experience in a records management environment, 
preferably in Higher Education.
