Some of our staff (FE college) have reported their home addresses being
traced by students using people finding services on the web that use
electoral registration details. I have advised them to tick the opt out
box on the electoral registration forms in future and for the current
register to write to the local electoral registration office to state
their wish to opt out. However I don't know if they can do anything
about the information already purchased by the people finding company.
If the company was contacted with evidence that they had retrospectively
opted out would the company then have to remove their entry?
