The issues which would seem to affect the personal data you question are:-

What were you advised your data would be used for at the time of your
mortgage application; 
What regulatory provisions affect the data processed by the data controllers
whom may legitimately receive details of your mortgage data;

and

What restrictions, if any, may you as an individual place upon the
processing of your data by the data controllers in question?

If relevant in the circumstances a FOI question could be what would be the
outcome of a public interest test.
