I've just done a quick search on Lawtel and there are 38 statutory
instruments (excluding drafts) which refer to the 1998 Data Protection
Act.  These include SIs which:

set out the special exemptions which apply to health, social work and
social work subject access requests;

amend the list of health professionals which have standing in relation
to requests for access to health records;

deal with the tribunal's powers and procedures;

deal with cost limits for access to unstructured data;

deal with fees (eg for notification) under the DPA

set out the circumstances in which sensitive personal data can be
processed in the public interest;

amend the Scottish FOI Act to take account of certain DP requirements
or amend the DP Act to take account of devolution;

set aside the DPA for steps taken by a French immigration official
acting in a UK 'control zone';

designate various broadcasting codes of practice for the purpose of s
32 of the DPA;

exempt information about Crown appointments including the poet
laureate, the provost of Eton and "deans and canons of the two Royal
Peculiars" from the subject access provisions.

etc.
