The provision of this info is subject to the Education Regulations, it is
required that head teachers supply this information to all parents and is it
irrelevant whether the data subject objects or not, it is not within the
data subjects gift. The information is only the info defined in the regs.

On occasions when we have had similar cases we have always involved Social
Services, most of the cases involved separated fathers.  We could only deny
these fathers access if could be proved that they had no parental
responsibility or if there was a chance of serious harm (duff-up factor).

I didn't think there was actual age just that the child had to demonstrate
that they understood the implications of the SAR/Act to the satisfaction of
the Data Controller. They could be as young as 7 if of adequate maturity.
