Dear All,

Following on from my previous e-mail I am writing the SAR policy for
Social Services. I seem to of stumbled accross a grey area.

The DP applies to Living persons only. Therefore how would we deal with a
person making claim to a deceased persons records? Would the decision to
disclose lay with the Director of SS based on public interest? Coroner?

I understand that health records are subject to Access to Health Records
Act 1990, is their ant legislation or s.i. relating to deceased subjects?

Many Thanks
Tom Devenish
