Subject: ITA E-Work and E-Learning Conference - Living, Learning and
Working in Virtual Environments

APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING

The International Telework Academy (ITA) is pleased to announce a call
for papers for the 10th International Telework Workshop and the 2nd ITA
Conference co-hosted by the University of Central Lancashire and
Liverpool Hope University College from 29th August - 1st September 2005.
Full details can be found at the conference website:
www.uclan.ac.uk/telework

The two day academic workshop entitled "Living, Learning and Working in
Virtual Environments" aims to encourage academic researchers and
business practitioners to generate interaction and sharing of ideas
around the areas of e-working and e-learning. The conference and
workshop will be based in Preston, North West England and will include a
visit to Liverpool, the European Capital of Culture 2008.

Workshop sessions will consist of academic papers that have been
accepted by the conference reviewer panel following a blind-review
process. Papers are welcome from e-working and e-learning practitioners,
as well as a range of academic disciplines including the built
environment, furniture and interior design, sociology, psychology,
management, computing, information systems, organisational behaviour,
education and e-learning. Contributions are particularly encouraged that
draw on multidisciplinary themes and analysis of postmodern and
post-industrial contexts.

Papers are welcome that fit in the broad themes:

* Designing New Work Spaces for Organizational and Learning Settings

* Using Technology & Software for E-Working or E-Learning
* Challenges for Remote and Mobile Working and Learning
* Learning and Working in Virtual Environments
* Telework and the Future of Work

Previous conferences have drawn participants from across the world and
across a range of disciplines. We look forward to welcoming previous
participants as well as new faces to the cities of Preston and
Liverpool.
