Pay-as-you-use computing power for everyone : stakeholder 
call for EU action plan to pool Grid R&D resources (30 May 2005)A call for a pan-European action plan to make massive "Grid" networked  computing power available on demand to anyone with a desktop or personal digital assistant (PDA) was issued at a meeting of representatives from industry, academia and EU Member States in Brussels on 30 May. The delegates agreed on the need to pool Europe's expertise and strengths in information and communication technologies and services to create a single, integrated European research area on Grids.
