I love pumpkin with onions, and if you wish you can
also add garlic and carrots (sweetest...,
salt
when it is all boiled you can add some sage or
herbs
some drops of olive oil and grated parmesan
cheese before serving
even if I usually go with pumkin &
onions (lovely taste)
with my best wishes to Alan and his most faithful
and graceful nurse,

I'm so sorry to hear about Alan's fall, Geraldine. It's very
shocking. It sounds from your email that he got immediate attention; I'm
very happy about that. If you know what's been damaged you can start
putting it gently back into place. Best wishes to both of you. Is
he able for lentil soup yet?
I have a recipe.

Just a little update. After Alan's bad fall
down the hostile cellar steps a fortnight ago he is making good progress
although we can still play the opening salvo of Beethoven's Fifth on his
broken ribs. Oddly enough it's not his ribs that give the pain but
something lower down. I think his kidney's may have said hello to
his knee caps. I can joke now but I wasn't joking or talking a
week ago. Anyway he is way behind on email replies and posting
etc. If you are awaiting to hear from him he will get to you -
eventually.
As for me my Hattie Jacques hat has been firmly
planted on my head but apart from having to create ever more inventive forms
of broth (the little love can't cope with solids - due to the cocktail
of drugs suppressing his appetite and limited periods of uprightness) I
furthered my media career today by having an email read out of Radio 5
Live! I say this only to incite Peter Riley to the point beyond
insanity. Not as exciting as being on Test Match Special but still
cheered up my broth making session to hear my rant against the goons who
thought Marcus Tresckothic (spelling incorrect) was a wuss for talking to
his wife about whether to captain England.
Anyway the good news (to some of you) is that's
we're both still alive (touch wood) and will come out strictly come dancing
soon.
Toots,
And lights out!
