Mark,

A good question ;-) The executive summary from my initial report is below. To place into context, current use of our Blackboard service is about 4000 individuals per week, and the ease of authoring on the blog, plus the way that it can be integrated easily / seamlessly via RSS feeds makes it a winner. There has been liitle coordinated promotion of the Blog service. Next year I'm planning to make a better stab at evaluating the use of the blog and podcast, while heavily promoting with users. Then
I'll be able to gauge its role.

I'm taking the view that it's a niche technology that will suite some of my users, while the costs of authoring / ownership are very low - you can upload via an email ;-) So currently it doesn't appear to be adding any significant resource. At present the benefits are greater than the costs.

Love to hear if anyone else is piloting these technologies.
