CatalogCymru 2 Project Officers Salary: Project Officer 1 & Project Officer 2: £19,000 pro rata (3 month fixed term contract, with a possibility of an extension for a further 3 months, 37 hours) Location: to be discussed Archives and Records Council Wales has been awarded a grant by CyMAL: Museums Archives and Libraries Wales to undertake an audit of uncatalogued archival collections in Wales and to carry out research into cataloguing, indexing and appraisal practices in Wales. It is seeking to appoint a project manager and two project officers to undertake this work. The posts will commence on 1 January 2006. The project officers will be qualified archivists with excellent communication skills, a thorough knowledge of archival cataloguing standards and the ability to work under pressure and manage and prioritise workloads. They will be responsible for undertaking the audit of uncatalogued collections. The ability to undertake the work in both Welsh and English is essential for Project Officer 2. Applications for secondments are welcome. All posts involve extensive travel throughout Wales. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
