Yorkshire Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and MLA North West are running a training day on Collecting Policies on Friday 23 September 2005 at Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre from 10am-3pm. This training day will analyze how collecting policies can be used in a variety of settings, including an archive, museum or library, as both operational tools and strategic drivers for service development. Experienced professionals will demonstrate how and why they have developed their own collecting policies and show what can be learnt from their experiences.
