Dear All If you can get hold of it the American publication Technology Review has a very good article in its July 2005 issue on archiving born digital records entitled 'The Fading Memory of the State'. It is based on interviews with NARA and clearly states the problems both archivists and researchers face. It also highlights the paucity of solutions at this point in time. There is some information about work being done at MIT but no mention of TNA's extensive work in this area.
