Have spoken to practice nurse about this sample, apparently
it is part of their health screening programme and they test urine with
multistix, in the surgery, for this they get paid extra, and this extra payment
is a "carrot" to encourage GPs to do the testing, hence they
call it the "Carrot screen", and we should not have received it.
So all you who answered were incorrect! But thanks for the
feedback.
And there was I just about to investigate Modified
Protocols for Rapid Carrot GenomicDNA Extraction and
AFLP(tm) Analysis using SilverStain or Radioisotopes (source: google
scholar). As suggested by one of the replies.
