Contract negotiation
Speaker: Pamela Clark
Information managers who have contract negotiation responsibility within their brief are finding it hard to develop the skill set necessary for this demanding task. Companies who operate in the global marketplace rightly want their business deals to reflect that global marketplace in price, content and technology. On the "sell" side local account teams are expected to respond on behalf of their global organisation but within a reward structure that often does not reflect that customer expectation. Successful negotiation of contracts demands a clear understanding of the brief, recognition of the business context and the ability to translate service requirements into specific deliverables. At this crucial stage in the information business it is sometimes difficult to identify the issues in contract negotiation, never mind know how to deal with them. This course offers the opportunity to identify what is happening in the market place and helps you learn some of the necessary skills.

This course explains the process of listing and examines the current situation in the world stock markets. Explaining shares and bonds, it also looks at corporate failures, then goes on to explore the sources, documents and services that can be used to research any listed company on any stock exchange in the world.
