Hello,
I was hoping that some of the European specialists may be aware of any
zooarchaeological research from the Netherlands, specifically from the early
modern period (1600-1800 VOC era). I am currently in South Africa away from
all my resources, but I have only two or three sources, and are actually
more Medieval in scope. So any help would be welcomed. Even Dutch language
may be fine... I am sure I can find an online translator.

In addition, any faunal analyses from any European shipwreck from the time
period would be most welcomed. I have the brief notes by Green 1977 from a
VOC ship off of Australia, and some work by Armitage. It seems like
shipwreck zooarchaeology is placed on the back page to the amazing cargoes
of these early trading ships, but I would love to be corrected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you, Adam Heinrich
