Dear all, Although I still don't know what goes wrong (see below), I've found a way around it: Just start "spm fmri" and make your changes to the defaults, and do not state anything like "spm_defaults" or "defaults" in your batch. So if anyone knows the difference?? But at least this works for me. Best, Guido
