As the deputy project manager for AfC at my hospital I have been contacted by many midwives regarding banding. There are many discrepancies with the banding of community midwives and it will be down to the job description and very possibly freedom to act. Initially I would advise you to contact your own AfC team to find out what has happened however, please feel free to contact me on [log in to unmask] with a copy of the job desrcription and I will see if I can be of assistance.

Best wishes
