Hi Karen

The balustrade around the landing should be 1100mm high and able to
withstand the impact of someone falling against it. (Building Regulations
Part K - K2/3 Section 3 Diagram 11). The guarding to the stairs should be
900mm high.

Any spindles should be spaced so that a 100mm sphere will not pass through
the gap. (eg at 100mm centres)
