medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Leonardo Olschki's The Asia of Marco Polo (Berkeley, University of
California Press, 1960) discusses the Western reception of the Prester
John story without mentioning Dante at all in that context. The story
was known by the late 12th century.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and
culture

A question. Is there any evidence that Dante knew of the Prester John
legend?

Many thanks.
