I am diffident about putting my head above the parapet in this scholarly
company, but in Poland last summer I found that the Rough Guide had an
interesting glossary of the equivalents to Polish placenames in German,
Old Slav, Czech, Russian, Ukranian, and Lithuanian as
appropriate.
