Mmmm, that's a nice dilemma for a Tuesday morning. I am keen for both Art/s
and Aesthetics to be in there - partly because there's quite a lot of arts
practice going on nowadays which is referred to as 'post-retinal' or
downright unaesthetic. This could include a lot of what I do myself. Its
well described in a piece by Grant Kester called 'Dialogical Aesthetics: a
Critical Framework For Littoral Art' which I got from variant at
http://www.variant.ndtilda.co.uk/9texts/kesterSupplement.html

(Incidentally it also includes a bit about the generalisability question in
relation to the ontology of particular critics or schools of criticism,
specifically Greenberg.)

And I like Steve's phone book list. We'd be in good company.

Deborah.
