Hello,
Here is a list of Italian sources which mention Muhammad:
IN LATIN, XIII-XIV century
Jacopo da Varazze, Legenda Aurea, ed. J.G.T. Graesse, Lipsia and Dresden, 1843-1846, pp. 830-31;
Riccobaldus Ferrariensis (Riccobaldo da Ferrara), Pomerium (http://spfm.unipv.it/zanella/Pomerium/Pomerium.html ) and Compendium Romanae Historiae (ed. A.T. Hankey), Roma, Istituto Storico Italiano per il Medio Evo, 1984, pp. 671-73;
IN ITALIAN VERNACULAR, XV century and much more obscure and inaccurate:
M. M. Boiardo, Historia Imperiale, ms. 424, Biblioteca Classense, Ravenna. I could send you a transcript of the relevant section from this text if you wish.
Regards
Andrea

with a focus on the prophet Muhammad and Islam
Hello,
I am working on Islam and Technology. I am currently looking at early texts (Italian, but not exclusively) that mention Islam or the prophet Muhammad.
I have found several, but there may be others (especially in manuscript form) that may be more obscure.
Does anyone know of any?
Thank you in advance for your help,
