STUDY DAY AND POETRY READING

organised by

the Italian Department at Trinity College Dublin, the Italian Cultural
Institute in Dublin, and Parco Letterario Eugenio Montale

The study section will take place in room 2026, Arts Faculty, Trinity
College Dublin, from 2 to 5 pm:

- 2.00 / Greetings by Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin, poet and Dean of the Faculty
of Arts Letters, TCD
- 2.10 / Illustration of an exchange between Irish and Ligurian poets
2002-04, and general introduction by Roberto Bertoni (TCD)
- 2.30 / 'L'opera di Edoardo Sanguineti' by Roberto Bugliani, poet and critic
- 2.50 / 'Introduction to Giovanni Giudici' by Catherine O'Brien (NUI Galway)
- 3.10 to 3.20 / Questions and discussion
- 3.20 / 'Giuseppe Conte: Eschatologist' by Mark Hutcheson (American
College Dublin)
- 3.40 / 'La poesia di Paolo Bertolani' by Giuliana Adamo (TCD)
- 4.00 to 4.10 / Questions and discussion
- 4.10 / 'Le Cinqueterre di Montale' by Adriana Beverini (Parco Montale)
- 4.30 / Discussion and conclusions

The poetry reading will take place in the Italian Cultural Institute (11
Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2), from 6.30 to 8 pm:

- Greetings by Bruno Busetti, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute
- Greetings by Adriana Beverini, Parco Montale
- Brief introduction to Roberto Bugliani (this year's guest poet) and other
poets from Liguria by Roberto Bertoni (TCD)
- Reading of poems by Eugenio Montale, Paolo Bertolani, Roberto Bugliani,
Giuseppe Conte, Giovanni Giudici, Edoardo Sanguineti and Angelo Tonelli.
[A number of readers should be involved - not all names are available at
the moment of sending this, apologies for those not mentioned here].

The event coincides with the publication and launch of the book Sei poeti
liguri, which will be available for sale during the day and evening.
