Definitions of "product" and "service"
Hi Jenny

There are some useful definitions of services in COM(96) 443 "Services of General Interest in Europe" which you can find at http://europa.eu.int/comm/consumers/cons_int/serv_gen/serv_int_gen06_en.pdf

The Green Paper on Services of Common Interest (COM(2003) 270) is worth checking at http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/com/gpr/2003/com2003_0270en01.pdf and the following White Paper (COM(2004) 374) at http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/com/wpr/2004/com2004_0374en01.pdf (page 22 of the latter).

Hope these are of some help.

best wishes

Paul

Subject: Definitions of "product" and "service"

Are the terms "product" and "service" defined anywhere?  I know that there are definitions of, for example "medicinal product" but lay my hands on good definitions of the basic terms.
