Usually people who post photos on the 'net are willing to allow others to use their work without paying exorbitant fees. I was there recently and there were "no photography" signs all over the place. All the people taking photos kept backing into them. Good luck. Due to a wonderful publishing error, it turns out that there IS space in my book "The Deaths of the Popes" for the full wall tomb of Pope Paul V in Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome (all they could originally fit in was the picture of his sarcophagus in the crypt). The only problem is that I now need a picture of this tomb, complete with permission to be able to use it in the book. If anyone has a picture of this tomb (I can't afford the astronomical royalty prices of professional photographers) and would allow me to use it in the book (the credit of the picture going to the provider, of course), I would be happy to send you a free copy of the book when it is released in October.
