Okay, I've looked a bit further and it appears that the final libraries aren't getting built under MacOS (don't know abotu Linux), so there really isn't a libitcl and libitk being built by itcl/ at all. All that gets built and installed are the stub libraries (e.g. libitclstub3.1.a) I'm presuming the build does work under Linux? Norman, could you possibly try and build thirdparty/tclsys/itcl and see if this is just me before I start poking around seriously in the configure and makefiles... Al.
