Verbal Request!
Although requests have to be in writing under FOI Act, does anyone know if this conflicts with e.g. racial/disability legislation because not everyone can write in English. It is not clear in the Act whether a verbal request received by a local authority is a valid request and under the Act has to be treated as such. Comments would be gratefully received either on or off list.
