medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

I was just given a small image that I believe copies one of the cofradia
images. There are NO identifying marks on it and no one seems to know how it came
to be in the rel. ed. dept. of the church whose priest just gave it to me.

Does anyone know if "home" or small copies of the cofradia images are made?
This one I believe to be a Nuestra Padre Jesus Nazareno type, but he has no
crown of thorns (unless it was lost.) The figure is roughly carved wood with
plastic face and hands. Glass eyes have been inset. He has "real" (fake) hair,
carries a wooden cross and has the three part golden crown of the ray type.
He has white lace cuffs on his sleeves and around the neck and dressed in
purple with embroidered gold flowers and leaves on the robe. About 12" tall.

If anyone has ever seen something like this please email me.

Thanks,
Ann
