Subject: Student visas

I am writing on behalf of Chris Williams from Lincoln Christ Hospital School.  They have a partner school in China and want to invite students from the Chinese school to study in the Sixth Form at LCHS for at least one academic year.

However they are having some problems finding out what kind of visa the students need to enter England.

The question is essentially how can young Chinese under the age of 18 qualify for visas so that they can follow courses offered at a state-funded secondary school?

The Home Office site does not cover this particular category of students.

Any suggestions, ideas or answers will be very gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Dominic
