I've been asked from one of the environmental health housing section
about retaining photographs of properties where work has been required
under a statutory notice. They are sometimes used to support a court
case if action is taken, or just held as part of the case file for
dealing with the property.

The section is concerned that if required they would have to produce
photos of a person's property which may be very personal - dirty/
uncared for sites etc, if an FOI request is made. They find the photos
useful, and don't really want to destroy them. Could they be considered
confidential? Any ideas anyone?
