I assume either enhanced MRI or biopsy. I wouldn't think a biopsy would affect a fibrosed capsule.Jason----- Original Message -----From: [log in to unmask] href="mailto:[log in to unmask]">John WillenbruchTo: [log in to unmask] href="mailto:[log in to unmask]">[log in to unmask]Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 6:24 PMSubject: Re: literature support>Fadhel, > >Overall, previous and current literature suggest that in cases of true >adhesive capsulitis (as defined by the presence of fibrosis in the capsule) >the thawing period (regaining of ROM and function) takes between 28-34 >months, no matter what. How do you diagnose true adhesive capsulitis with fibrosis in the capsule??
Wouldn't arthroscopically looking at it or taking samples have a massive effect on treatment and make a lot of studies invalid for most adhesive capsulitis patients?
Cheers,
