Please subscribe to this publication - details below +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Research Assistant / Fellow Department of Public Health & Policy Ref: CS1 We are seeking an enthusiastic postgraduate researcher with a background in social sciences and/ or social community epidemiology, to support a 3 year study of the role of lay involvement of low income children in public health science in London. S/he should have postgraduate background in an appropriate social science (e.g. sociology or psychology of medicine/health, social epidemiology, public understanding of science/science communication, or sociology of scientific knowledge). The following skills would also be useful: knowledge and/or experience in the field of participatory science; experience of conducting fieldwork in community settings; good organisational and administrative skills; and strong writing skills. Salary will be on the Research 1A/B scale (£21,704 - £23,821 p a) including London weighting, as at 2 Dec 2003. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service, including membership of the Universities Superannuation Scheme.
