italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies Position Available in Teacher Education: Stony Brook University invites applications for a new position of coordinator of field experiences and student teaching in European Languages. Required Qualifications: MA or higher in language/education. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in Education and Teacher training; PhD in a European Language; Experience teaching college Methods courses; Experience supervising student teachers; Experience teaching language K-12; State teaching certification; ACTFL OPI training. Responsibilities & Requirements: Teach methods courses, supervise student teachers in French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, place candidates for field experience/student teaching, advise students. Special Notes: Non-tenure track. Lectureship. One year, renewable. Competitive salary. Anticipated Start date: 8/23/04.
