I would read their editorial. I don't think they are using the term
'evidence-based' in any unusual sense (if that's what you mean by
'liberal'). There is an accumulating evidence based for many CAM therapies
which doesn't differ in approach from the evidence base for orthodox
medicine except in the vastness of the industry funding for the latter, with
the consequent utter distortion of research priorities.
