Subject: Cost of Filing

Dear All,

A colleague has queried the source of a statement he has come across in a report that the cost of filing a file in an INTERNAL registry / RM system amounts to £25, incl staff time, materials etc.

I've personally never been involved in this kind of costing on this basis. It does seem rather arbitrary, but of course this is the kind of stuff that one finds in management reports.

Has anyone done any work on this who would be prepared to share any costing of this kind?

If people could reply off-line I'll be happy to summarise, assuring anonymity of organisation.

I'm not on any RM list, so if someone could forward this it would be appreciated.
