Dear Patrick Thanks for your reply. Palpation elicits no tenderness at the knee or hip (I have quite extensively palpated as well). This was one of the findings that slightly threw me. The knee pain is located deep in the knee joint, and not really more lateral or medial. The hip pain is located deep in the groin (in the vicinity of the hip joint itself). I have arranged a review by an orthopod with view to imaging and will happily keep you updated. Thanks once again for your reply, Regards Ben
