[EMS-NEWS] Mensa Secunda music / dance / theatre / video / electronics "Ik snijd mezelf en proef de sappen van mijn lichaam. Dit is waar de perfectie zich bevindt, onderhuids. Wijn, niet bloed stroomt doorheen mijn aders." Mensa Secunda vertelt het verhaal van Apicius, de Romeinse kok, geobsedeerd door het idee van het perfecte recept. Het is een interdisciplinair spektakel dat muziek, dans, theater en video integreert doorheen het gebruik van interactieve elektronische media om te komen tot een unieke omgeving, aanlokkelijk voor alle zintuigen. Een ruimte die roteert met de uren van de dag verwelkomt het publiek in een wereld beheerst door de begeerte en het verlangen naar het volmaakte recept. "I cut myself and taste the juices of my body. This is where perfection lies, under my skin. Wine, not blood flows along my veins" Mensa Secunda tells the story of Apicius, the Roman chef, obsessed with the idea of the perfect recipe. It is an interdisciplinary spectacle that integrates music, dance, theatre and video through the use of interactive electronic media to create a unique environment enticing to all the senses. A space that rotates with the hours of a day invites the audience into a world which is ruled by desire and the longing for a perfect recipe.
