I wasn't planning to see this, as it sounded like another mawkish sensationalised fly on the wall. That it wasn't was entirely due to the extraordinary subject, chronicling his own deterioration and death. Outstanding television and a very necessary reminder that all we see of patients is a snapshot of their lives.
