> The Tourism Management Group at Victoria University of Wellington invites researchers, policy makers, industry representatives and educators to the biannual New Zealand Tourism and Hospitality Research Conference. This event offers delegates the opportunity to debate and experience tourism in New Zealand> '> s administrative and cultural capital.

> The conference will focus on advances in tourism and hospitality research and the value and applicability of research to industry, policy makers, educators and the wider community.  In particular, the conference will include a special session on industry-oriented research issues.  Papers will be considered on a range of themes including, but not limited to:

> *             Tourism management, politics and policy
> *     Tourism supply, distribution and marketing
> *     Tourism markets, demand and behaviour
> *     Tourism impacts and sustainability
> *     Research methodologies
> *     Tourism economics and forecasting
> *     Tourism education and training
> *     Innovations and trends in the New Zealand tourism industry
> *             Special interest tourism, including culture and heritage, events, adventure, and wine-based tourism
> 
> International contributions that outline the relevance of the research to the New Zealand/Pacific Rim context are welcome.  Papers submitted for refereeing as well as non-refereed working papers will be accepted.  Refereed papers will be 3,000-4,000 words in length and published in an edited conference proceedings.  For working papers the submission of abstracts by the deadline outlined below is sufficient, and delegates are invited to distribute accompanying handouts during the conference.  Each presentation is allocated 20 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion.
