Next Software development seminars and
workshop events for QUALRUS software
Next week we welcome Ed Brent
to the University of Surrey when he
will be leading two events on 10
February and 11 February , 2004. With
Ideaworks, Ed Brent
develops Qualrus software for qualitative data analysis.
Qualrus makes use
of intelligent computational strategies to help the
researcher at
each of the three major stages of qualitative research:
coding, analysis, and
application.
Participants can attend either or both days.
Day 1 is FREE
Day 2 incurs a small fee per person - with big
discounts for e.g. project
groups
OUTLINES
Day 1:
- Part 1
Introductory overview of the software, demonstrations and
discussion
concerning the software and the - methodological support it
offers
(3-4Hrs)
- Part 2: ( Optional) 2 hours of step by step hands on
orientation with the
software
Day 2:
- Hands on, step by step
workshop - as much as possible
- More advanced uses, functions, and options
using Qualrus
- Project advice
- Use and reference to participants own
data - where possible.
