Wormonoc told  the beautiful story of saint Paul Aurelien's bell in his "vita" of the saint : Paul asked king "Marcus Quonomorius" to give him a bell which was part of a specific instrument ; but the king, who invited the saint to stay at the royal court, was so depited Paul prefered to go in Brittany that he didn't accept to give the bell. After a short time, Paul established himself with his alumni in Britanny ; and they found the bell in the stomach of a fish.
The "vita" was written by Wormonoc, a Breton monk, in 884. Marcus [*Aurelius] Conomorius is king Marc of Cornwall, the uncle of Tristan in literature, but in fact his father as revealed by the inscription on the Fowey stone. Saint Paul Aurelien's bell is still preserved as a relic in the former Cathedral of Saint-Pol-de-Leon (Brittany).
