medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Dear Angus, Christopher, et el., Acusations of humorless pedantry, while nasty, are one thing --- but did you really mean to compare the listownership to Stalin? I'll admit I'm astonished by that. Is everyone who disagrees with your vision for the list to be insulted? Is this your idea of reasoned discourse? I would like the tone to maintain an academic tone.
