Hi David, at NYCC we have a report on an airfield at Bolton on Swale being recorded prior to destruction, though I am not sure how formal a report it was (would need to check) as it was done by one of the local DoB chaps. If you want to know more I can let you know (quote NYE1053 back at me) best wishes Nick Boldrini SMR Computing Officer Heritage Unit North Yorkshire County Council Direct Dial (01609) 532331 http://www.northyorks.gov.uk/environment/heritage.shtm#Archaeology North Yorkshire County Council has the right and does inspect E-Government mails sent from and to its computer system. >>> [log in to unmask] 09/02/2004 09:38:33 >>> Is anyone aware of assessments being carried out on WWII airfields, concentrating on WWII buildings and defences rather than anything earlier. I have a vague notion of something happening at Hornchurch Essex, but I could be wrong!
