University of London School of Advanced Study Fellowships at the INSTITUTE OF GERMANIC STUDIES for 2004 Endowed by a generous bequest from the estate of Sylvia Naish, three fellowships are available in May/June 2004 for research into any area of German language and literature. The awards are designed to assist with temporary living expenses in London or to enable those in full-time employment to take unpaid leave to further their research. SYLVIA NAISH RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP Endowed with £2,000, this fellowship is open to post-doctoral applicants domiciled in one of the German-speaking countries who wish to spend up to two months at the Institute. SYLVIA NAISH POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP Endowed with £1,000, this fellowship is open to post-doctoral applicants who wish to spend up to one month at the Institute. SYLVIA NAISH POSTGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP Endowed with £1,000, this fellowship is open to students in their second or third year of study for a higher degree, registered at a University in the United Kingdom, and who wish to spend up to one month at the Institute.
