Lecturer in Modern German Literature SCHOOL OF ADVANCED STUDY INSTITUTE OF GERMANIC STUDIES £26,255 - £28,404 pa inc. LW (pay award pending) Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Modern German Literature at the Institute of Germanic Studies (from August 2004 the Institute of Germanic and Romance Studies). The successful candidate will have completed a PhD in an area of post-1700 German literature and have a strong publishing record appropriate to his or her professional development, and will have outstanding potential for future research. The person appointed will be expected to undertake (co-)supervision of PhDs, contribute to the teaching on the University's federal MA in German, develop academic research programmes and be prepared to engage in administrative work, organise academic events and prepare manuscripts for publication. The appointment will be on a three-year full-time basis, from May 2004 or at a date to be agreed.
