Dear colleagues, I am fairly new to EU work and wondered if you could give me the benefit of your experience to help me answer the following convoluted question: A company which produces computer games wants to recruit employees (programmers to develop computer games) inside and outside the EU (Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and possibly Japan or Taiwan). * They need employment legislation for these areas. * Additionally they are interested in how the labour force is split within the I.T. sector for each country * and the different I.T. qualifications recognised/required in each country. I have checked out the European Foundation for the improvement of living and working conditions at http://www.eurofound.ie/ and this has provided some information about employment, but not as far as I can see about Information Technology (IT)/Computing, or for all countries. Someone has also searched on my behalf the UK NARIC site, but this does not seem to apply to professional qualifications. The EU equivalent is ENIC, but here too the emphasis seems to be on educational qualifications. The various embassies have also provided market information for the sector. We do have relevant market databases but for legal reasons I am not able to use them to supply information outside the university, so any suggestions would be welcome to help me provide useful feedback and answers for my enquirer.
